I recently purchase (JUNE) a KAMPA SANDOWN 8 TENT.On first use in JUlY two of the poles were damaged, elastic which snapped also the tent zip was out of line and would not shut.I emailed the company with photos of the damage and they replaced the poles and also agreed (at there suggestion)that I could send the tent back to them to repair and the end of August so I could still holiday I tent.I agreed to this as I have booked to go away and it would have taken 28 days for them to send tent for inspection ,repair etc.I have been away this weekend and now I have noticed a fault in the tent above the bedroom,it look like the machine which stiches the tent has missed the seam and caught the tent. What are my rights as I have been told I cannot have refund. To tell the truth I want to keep the tent but Im concerned what its going to be like after e few trips.Cheers

Under the sale of goods act you are now only entitled to further repairs as you did not reject the faulty item. I do believe they have three attempts to rectify problems after thyis they should replace the item if it is not satisfactory.

I would point out that Kampa (unless you bought direct from them) are under no obligation to either repair or give a refund on your purchase. Your contract is with the retailer you bought the item from and as such is their responsibility to deal with any issues you may have

Thanks for the replys. The tent was purchase from OUTDOORMEGA STORE who have been more than helpful.I have checked and under the sales of goods act 1974 .If they cannot repair the tent or replace it iam entitleted to full refund including the canopy I purchased as this can only be used with the item purchased.Hopefully they can repair tent as its perfect for the family.
