Hi apologies I'm sure this subject has been done over and over but I can't find the answer to my question when I do a search. We used SIMs on our last trip for the first time and all loved them, found them comfy and more reliable than an airbed. However the only thing I found quite annoying was that they are slippy when you are in your sleeping bag and I kept sliding down to the bottom of it. Any suggestions please on how to stop this? Thought a single fitted sheet wouldn't really solve it but if anyone can tell me different that would be a nice easy cheap solution! Thank you
I read somewhere on a forum that lightweight campers who use a SIM put a few stripes of clear silicone using a silicone gun to apply. Just really thin lines, a series of which run from side to side. It's to stop them sliding off it especially as you can't always get a completely flat pitch.

On this subject, if the ideal pitch leaves you on a slope to the side (rolling off your sim), we found that a towel or similar, rolled up and tucked under the lower side, levels you out quite well
------------- Good times and great adventures await...

That works well . Or a square of none slip material .
I use an SIM at work on night shifts, after it's inflated I wrap the whole thing in a sheet and it stays perfectly still and allows me to sleep on it with just a blanket without getting sweaty.

Hi all thank you for your comments, we have just returned from a fantastic four day camping trip and I did use the fitted sheets and they worked a treat thank you. I like the look of your fleece ones though armchaircamper I may 'upgrade' for next years trips!
