I personally do not believe a Cadac Safari Chef alone is big enough for a family of 5.
I used to take my HP version camping trips with just myself and the dog, and was able to cope with just one burner by cooking simple meals.
I would need to swap pans, e.g. cook the starchy food like rice/pasta/cous cous first, and then use another pan like the lid to cook the meat and veg.
However, if I were to entertain friends, I would need to use another stove in order to make anything fancier. Hence I carried a suitcase stove with me to supplement the Safari Chef HP.
Nowadays my stove of choice is a Coleman Dual Fuel 2-burner stove that I can use all year round with liquid fuel, as gas canisters can be ineffective at low temperatures.
I still need to swap pans even with 2 burners when cooking something really fancy though.
In short, with a family of 5 to feed, I believe a 2-burner stove will be more suitable.
