They are big, and they are bulky, but of all the equipment we have, including two excellent tents, I'd be tempted to say these are, to date, our best purchase yet, all things considered.

No..... and you wouldn't be able to lift 'em, anyway!!
Seriously though, no, they have zips straight down each side, but not across the bottom.
And anyway, if room in the car is tight, not worth considering.... I would say the are a similar pack size to a loo bucket.... and I'm not exaggerating!

The outwell bags will zip together as they are not the mummy type as in the above link..
Outwell camper lux again but they're a bulky pack size again. The lakeview packs smaller I believe but not tried it.
