400 quid for a fan heater , I don't think so. For 400quid it would have to drive me there set up camp and put it all away again then drive me home and un pack the car. i wouldn't even consider it for my 15 bedroom mansion , let alone my tent.
they used them in my Gran's ward when she was in hospital, it was only to cool, but i was very impressed. not sure i would spend that to then be chucked in the back of the car/trailer. i would want it transfered by personal courier!

I will hold my hands up and admit to having a Dyson Air Multiplier in my tent. In my defence I bought a reconditioned one from Dyson on ebay so it was a LOT cheaper. Its great though as its low wattage and operates in either a cold air mode or on a thermostat. So I can set it to 17C and leave it switched on at night so it keeps the temperature inside the tent at a comfortable level - sort of like having central heating!! Its a lot quieter than my cool box. It has a large base for stability but if it does fall over it turns off immediately. It travels in its box though and is handled very carefully.
I'm Wondering about the consumption, I'm planning on using the Dyson in my tent, it will be about -2* - 0* outside during the night, running off a i20 Honda generator, I read on the website that the Wattage consumption is 2000W, so I'm worried my generator won't be up to the standard for it
If your leaving your generator running all night it maybe better to take the heat from that instead?
How much fuel will it be burning producing 2kw all night?
My generator manual states 6 hours, but only at 1/4 load of its 2.3kw rated capacity. As the load increases the fuel consumption also increases quite dramatically.
Price is not an issue, comfort is more important to me, as I attend large airsoft games, this one will be 500km north of Stockholm, it only happens once a year and I would just like to be comfortable during this period. I'm not experienced enough to use the generators heat to bring it into the tent, as it's air cooled, I would not have the first clue how to harness that without also getting exhaust fumes into the tent.
I'm also thinking about a 500W oil radiator, but It would have been nice to have the Dyson as it's automatic temp control, go to sleep warm, and wake up cool as the tent gets hit by the sun.
I have been looking for a heater but hadn't considered this one. I did note that in one of the customer reviews it mentioned that the instruction book states it must be directly plugged in to a wall socket to work so no extensions or adaptors to be used. If that is correct, that probably knocks it out for me. It may be pricey but Dyson quality does cost more.
I can't believe people pay so much money for a fan heater!
A good bed setup with a good heated fleece underblanket, plus either a low-wattage fan or panel heater to take the chill off will do the job just as well, surely?
We've camped out in minus 16 with use of the above, and have been toasty. Just make sure you wear lots of layers and a hat to bed helps a lot. Go to bed warm and use a fleece blanket to plug any gaps at the top of bedding.
How big is your geni's KW output in the first place??
2Kw is a lot for a generator to put out constantly - and over a long period of time. (you did say over night didn't you??).
From my plant hire days, I think you'll need something like a 5 - 6Kw generator because of the higher Kw needed over a sustained period etc, and I think you'll be in the diesel size ones by then...
Will an oil filled radiator, or a smaller Kw fan heater do??
