I am after a small portable collapsible steel BBQ (that uses charcoal) I have been looking at a Hotspot Notebook and similar

Hotspot Notebook

However they often get poor reviews and seem quite flimsy.
Has anybody got any good recommendations?
Thanks
Dave

I bought the Lidl version this spring, and been very happy with it. At the edge of the grill it's a bit cooler which is helpful.
I bought one as we go camping with some friends each year and have used this type for four years - often as a fire pit as well.
The firepit one is being relegated to firepit only, all the rest are fine!
They've lost some paint colour but are still functional.

Thanks for the updates. I was looking for a collapsible 'flatpack' version if possible.

I got one from Asda. It is really good and keeps heat well. Best cooked BBQ food. It has collapsible feet which fold underneath the bbq. It was £25

I use one of these. I got mine from Lidl for a fiver a few years ago. Been used loads. Packs small enough to stash with the rest of the kit.

We have the notepad style.  OH hates it because the edges are very sharp and it's possible to cut himself if he's not very careful. We bought it from Camperlands and it wasn't a cheapo one either :(

I was thinking of getting one like this:

Stainless Folding BBQ

They seem to get good reviews. Turning the grille 45 degrees gives better support and allows you to stoke the fire with more fuel as it dies if used as fire pit.

Thanks for all the updates. Just purchased the Notebook style. Hopefully it will last a couple of seasons.

We used the notebook bbq in France this summer, worked well although limited cooking space, cleaned up pretty good afterwards.

We've bought one of those, not used it yet as the old travel BBQ is still going 4 maybe 5 seasons on. It was a cheapy from Sainsburys, but now they're not so cheap

Outwell cazal is what you need, it folds down flat, has about an a3 size cooking area and costs from £21. Very sturdy.
We have also used it as a fire pit to keep us warm outside the tent on those cold evenings. Found a firelog best for that 2-3hrs heat for £3.

I have been using one of these for 3 years now, we even take it when we go to the beach or days out.
