What's the TV you have? I used to experience this when using a 'budget' Tesco own brand TV in the van (if the phone was within 5' of the TV), but having migrated to a better quality product, I've not suffered any interference since.
Regretably, the issue is due in part to poor internal shielding in the TV itself, so I'd be suprised if external ferrite protection were to help.
