No worries you will love the cobb once you get used to its foibles, it's all about trial and error really. i have found it very hard to overcook anything with the lid on so when doing something for the first time tend to leave it longer rather than peeking in all the time. It's no exact science as you will find out and it can burn slightly different each time you light it.
