I bought an Aldi charger today, making three in total. One on my motorbike when not in use, one for my caravan 120Ah battery kept in garage and one on my old 85Ah leisure battery which powers my garage alarm system. This now saves me having to swap around every few weeks
Nope, none around here! But if you're going any time soon and I could pay you the postage as well as the price, would you buy one for me please! I could get Webby to send my email address, etc, to you.
There are a few stores a good few miles away from here, but you can't even phone and ask them if they have any in stock. :( ...and I can't afford to drive around in the hope that one of the stores just might have one!
Yes I could do that Jax, dont know what the postage would be there is a little bit of weight there. I`ve never posted any parcels for a few years so a little out of touch but I`m quite prepared to do it

Bless you! I will ask webby to give you my email and we can take it from there!
Update, have just sent a message to ask if they can send you my email address, Vectratot!
Further update, you should now have my email address, Vectra, so check your email, then we can get this done, and bless you for helping me out. :)

Yes Jax I have your email address now as I have been out until just now, I will contact you. Thanks to the webmaster.
Great stuff, thanks to the web team from me too! Will await your email, V.
Just like to say many, many thanks to Vectratot for going back to Aldi and buying one for me, then posting it to me! It's always nice when someone is prepared to go the extra mile for someone else!
Fairly old post that relates to the Aldi car battery charger model CPL-2054 from 2013 which is when I got mine and is still working fine, although the unit does get a little warm to the touch when charging my new 120Ah SLA leisure battery, which is not ideal for electronic stuff.
There have been a number of iterations of this charger from Aldi since 2013, and all have been 3.8amp, this latest model (MD 19787) though is 5amp quite evident by the thicker wiring on the 12v side of things.
So I thought it would be a good time for me to upgrade to this much improved model, the LCD is pretty much the same, although now gives some additional info like “reversed terminal clamps” and “no battery connected, short circuit”.
When charging my battery this new unit stays completely cold to the touch.
The warning LED’s that are on my older model are not featured on this latest version, as all the info is now on screen.
