Noticed that Lidl are doing an electric compact fan oven again from Monday, for £30 you can't go wrong, we have used the same model oven for our fortnight campings in the South of France and it has been terrific.

Larger than the Aldi 10lt oven at 15lt and same price.

We use ours more than the main oven   tempted to get a spare   good bit of kit

We bought a Morphy Richards rotisserie from Argos last weekend when it was half price. Its 25l. I can't believe its back to full price already. its still half price at Homebase though.

The oven is available from Monday 11th Nov, so don't go in and ask "have you any ovens left?" like I did today

When I told hubby that I tried to get one he muttered about all we'd need then would be a dishwasher and a washing machine ... now there's a thought

Got a black one yesterday Tested it and its working, not tried it out with food yet but will give it a go before packing it away ready for next trip.

3 year guarantee as well, can't go wrong for £30

Yep, we found this oven real handy back in 2012 when we were down in the Southern Ardeche during July for our fortnight campings.

We would often come back with one of the freshly prepared meals from the supermarche, the ones they portion out from the deli, stuff like lasagne and beef or chicken dish's just a case of popping it in the oven for a short while job done.

Great for keeping the Pizza hot also, in fact we use so little CampinGaz these days our 907 cylinder has lasted for 7 weeks of camping and has still got some gas remaining.

A fortnight camping trip now that sounds great , we are eagerly awaiting our third only ever camping trip next year we really enjoyed our last trip which was originally for four nights but extended it too seven nights , loved it so much that we have gone too town buying a better tent and all sorts of cooking gear and furniture we don't travel far as we live on the isle of wight and our favourite campsite is at the back of the island right on the beach hence my wife uses her car for the family and clothes and my ancient old omega estate like a shed for all the camping gear ,sheer bliss

I love mine - had it 3 years now and it is still like new. Very useful and also comes in handy at Christmas as extra oven space!

We've had a Lidl Oven for about 4 years now.

It was really handy in our wee caravan that only had two rings.

However our last two units, an FC and another caravan, both had their own ovens, so the Lidl one has been sat in the garage for the last 3 and a bit years doing nowt but taking up space.

So anyone in Argyll that is looking for a small oven for camping, let me know and its yours.

See, I knew there was a valid reason why I was stalling putting it away properly with my other camping gear .... overflow oven at Christmas ... genius!!

Lidl have got the mini oven back in again next week £35, this is the 14lt version which fits ferfectly into a "Really Useful" 42lt box.

We have not had to much luck with these ovens, the first one as in the original post developed an intermittent fault after 3 years, and would trip the electrics, both at home and at the campsite.

The second one same as they are selling next week, died when we got to the campsite in Frejus last July, so we ended up buying a replacement from Carrefour, it got us through, but was a little oversized at 19lt and no fan.

So I will go for another one of these 14lt models, and remember not to put it in the trailer as I suspect that may have been what caused the other two ovens to fail.
