I've been reading that a lot of Australian campers use either Napisan or a generic equivalent in there chemical toilets. Anyone use it over here? Seems to be an economical way to go, especially as Lidl do a W5 product for under £3.
Quite a few of us in New Zealand do as well. Some work better than others but it seems that the cheaper House brands work the best with higher levels of Sodium Percarbonate

Yep,I second that. We switched to using it a few years back(after reading that loads of other folk use it).
It's nicer smelling, doesn't stain like "blue" if spilt...and it's far cheaper..
(..as for any concerns some may have as to whether or not it is strong enough to kill all the germs, as long as common sense/good practice is adhered to, there won't be any problem..).
Thanks Nora, not quite bleach, maybe a component as it's an oxidizing agent. SOG kits don't need chems as there is an increase in oxygen levels that break down solids paper etc. Sodium Percarbonate should work well. I see that from the New Zealand and Aussie sites some introduce a little yogurt to get the reaction going if the toilet is only used for p...
