Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, and got lots of lively gifts.
I remember a thread not so long ago which talked about cooking jacket potatoes in 15 minutes, I have been searching for it all day and can't seem to find it. Can anyone help me out with the type of cooker mentioned?
Thanks in advance.

Microwave the spuds until going soft, then nuke on full power in a halogen oven - lovely crisp skins and fluffy centres in 15-20 minutes
Brilliant! I've just bought a halogen oven today so I must try this.

Hi Nora
I wouldn't be without my halogen oven now, although I did get a few burnt things to start with
With the jacket spuds, I scoop the spud out of the skin and, whilst mixing it with the relevant filling, I put the empty skins back into the halogen oven and really crisp them up, then put the filling back into the skins
Sounds good, John. I had a halogen oven a few years ago when there weren't any recipes around for them - and it was huge. I couldn't get on with it and sold it. I've just found a 7 ltr one with extender to 10 ltrs, which is a much better size for me. So I'll be experimenting!
