Hi,all
I am looking for a bit of help finding an adapter for my
camp stove and light.
I have a small stove that uses the screw in type gas
canisters and a light that uses the camping gaz
easy-click cv 300/475 canisters and am looking for an
adapter that will convert light so I can use the screw
in canisters.
I already have 1 each of these:
The screw connection is called threaded 7/16 NS Lindal Valve.
You can get converters to use a screw in device with the campingaz easy click cartridges (as you already have) but never found anything the other way round, which is a shame.
The hole on the top of the CV cartridges is deeper then that of the other canisters.
I'm surprised nobody has made one yet, as the campingaz canisters are more expensive.
Primus have duo stoves which use either easy clic or the screw in cartridges. They have a collar to accept easy click and a thread for the screw in. However I have not come across an adapter. It is very handy when abroad to be able to use the easy clic cartridges.
I'll have a look at my primus njord duo when I get back from work. I'm sure the stove attachment point unscrews from the burner. If you could pick up a spare from primus, you may be able to cobble something together.

Yup, the primus duo stoves come to bits. You can take the burner off leaving the connector and the valve. Now the problem is the thread size. Will it fit the light?

Just stumbled across Sean's question while looking into gas canister adapters. As there really doesn't seem to be an adapter which converts Campingaz lanterns to run on screw thread canisters (presumably Campingaz want you to use only their gas with their lanterns!), why not just buy a lantern with a screw thread then you can use it with any brand of screw thread canister and with your existing adapters for running on Campingaz and butane. And as long as you don't want to use the stove and lamp as the same time, you only need to carry one canister.
