got to hold my hand up and say that when we were wobbly walled campers ,in our pre-tin tent days,that yes I have done that. I had studiously packed everything else into the car but left the important bit in the shed

luckily the site we were staying at was only a few miles from home so it just meant a quick sprint back to fetch it , while OH and a couple of our camping buddies enjoyed a nice pub lunch and a bit of a giggle at my expense.

which is one more reason why we opted for a caravan , a lot harder to forget than a tent
