There is a list somewhere on this website that was invaluable when we camped for the first time last May, reminding things like matches, torches, spare batteries etc. So invaluable in fact, I've lost it!!! Can anyone help me?
------------- May 2013 Nicholaston Farm, Wales
August 2013 Guide camp to Hautbois, Norfolk
May 2014 BH Burnbake, Wareham
May 2014 HT Karrageen, Salcombe
I'm so glad that list doesn't have the kids or mother inlaw on it..
------------- Thank you Donnod123
------------
Coleman Evolva (might have more than one shhhh)
And now a VW T25 high top.
Tilley Titan
Tilley Trio
Cobb BBQ
Like the TENT!! on the list, a family turned up at a site we were staying at without the tent, they had a good sense of humour about it and wondered why the car had been so easy to pack.
------------- It's better to ask a silly question than make a silly mistake.

got to hold my hand up and say that when we were wobbly walled campers ,in our pre-tin tent days, that yes I have done that. I had studiously packed everything else into the car but left the important bit in the shed
luckily the site we were staying at was only a few miles from home so it just meant a quick sprint back to fetch it , while OH and a couple of our camping buddies enjoyed a nice pub lunch and a bit of a giggle at my expense.
which is one more reason why we opted for a caravan , a lot harder to forget than a tent
------------- no tin tent outings booked as yet ,just another cruise in Sept' booked so far
We had a bloke who came into Outdoor World, bought a raft of gear to start up camping, and toddled off happy with his purchases. Five minutes later he came back into the shop nearly sobbing: his wife (of the pursed lips and arms folded variety) had given him the Scarborough Warning because he had not bought a mains hook-up so she could plug in her hair straighteners...

I must admit we nearly did it, everything packed for a long trip to Cornwall, it was just one last check of the back door I noticed a vango tent bag minding it's own business.

Two years ago we set off in the middle of the night ... all hitched up ... four miles further on, I thought ... it's towing very easily ....
The FC had uncoupled twenty yards outside the drive ...
A sobering effect ... have always treble checked the hitching ever since ... but it was a considerable shock ... visions of no holiday etc scrolled through my mind!
