Yep, nigelsp it's all about horses for courses, before we bought the C40 we already had the Waeco CF25 CoolFreeze, which we will continue to use for in car use and day trips, but for main campsite use it's 23lt capacity was always a challenge, and has been since 2009.
Having said that, the fact that the CF25 works as a pukka compressor fridge whilst mobile, is something that we could never do without, for the 1000 mile journey to and from our main campsite in the South of France during July, a 12v cooler or the B40 for that matter would just simply not cut the mustard for mobile use.
So in a way, we have now ended up with the best of both worlds.
