Just been to look at th new Bailey Pursuit caravan range. Is the 4 berth fixed bed option worth more nearly 3k more than I paid for the equivalent Orion model in 2012.........????

Pros:
The entrance door now opens the correct way to miss the side window and now comes with a sliding fly screen.
The rear roof has been squared off to provide greater headroom in the washroom / shower.
Shelves have been provided each side of the fixed bed.
A curved front roof window is now standard-as the current trend.
A folding work top extension is now provided (I fitted one of these to my Orion when I first got it)
The front n/s dinette end panel has now been cut down to cushion level allowing you to stretch out your legs (I thought about doing this to mine last year, but have not got round to it yet)
Cons:
The colour / pattern of the back rest fabric.
The high level kitchen cupboard door now scrapes the roof light shroud when opened fully.
The kitchen unit work top appears smaller (maybe to obtain additional space within the washroom)
The kitchen work tops are now a (shiny plastic) mock granite finish which were already showing signs of scratches on the show model.

Think I'll hang on to my Orion for the moment......!!!!

I think you mentioned most of what we saw on the Pursuit 430-4 yesterday. The mirror has disappeared opposite the fixed bed and put in the washroom (very effective when steamed up!) I do like the colour scheme on the outside. The fridge and cooker units are different, and the microwave sits better in the rack. The table when not used sits where the mirror was. The locker doors outside are bigger too which is a good thing. Our Orion is a 2011 model (not 3years old until May) but to upgrade to the Pursuit 430-4 would cost us £6000 - not worth it for some changes. However the Pursuit 530-4 for £800 more is really worth considering (a lot more space). Trouble is that our driveway is very steep and will ground before it gets onto it, so it looks as though the Orion stays for now, and we are really quite happy with it.

I won't be changing my Orion for a good few years.
The door opening is no problem, I have a porch awning and it limits the door opening to just over 90 degrees.
The small size of the side locker door is no problem with the fixed bed model, just lift the bed and fill the space.
I fitted a table rail to the left side of the worktop so the small table can be used as an extension.
I turned the wardrobe door around, it makes access a lot easier.
Now the Orion suits my needs perfectly
