What bottles do you have already, I'm guessing you have two 6kg Calor propane bottles & your caravan has the regulator fixed to bulkhead with 2 pipes(pigtails)to gas bottles, yes? If this is the so then the 2 fittings in the link are what you need to attach a Campingaz 907 bottle. These are small, only 2.7kg of gas, expensive & normally uneconomical to use in caravans but they are the only bottle exchangable all over Europe.
If you want to buy a 907 it will cost you about £30 + £20 for the contents. You might find an empty secondhand for a few quid & then take it & exchange for full paying only the(very expensive)£20 for the contents.
Ahem....first I must put, if anyone calls me as an eyewitness for anything, I'm sorry!
my bottles are green! Large pastic green tops and sit in a sort of plastic cage with BP allover it! Theres just one connector and that goes str8 into a downpipe into and underneath the van?
Tbf, for specific advice you do need a specific & full description of your existing setup. You have BP bottles with a 27mm clip bottle top regulator, yes? Are they 5kg or 10kg? For 6mths cooking two 10kg will be ample, two 5kgs probably not, so swap one 5kg for a 10kg, job done.
If you want to take a Campingaz907 in reserve then you will also need Campingaz bottle top regulator here & to be able to easily swap between the 2 different bottles you need this & this to be fitted inline in the rubber hose to allow quick changes, ie 1 half of quick release on gas feed hose & other halves on each short length of hose with regulator attached.
Have been googling like mad for the last hour and they seem fine for the UK market, (available at homebase to swap) and thats it! Will homebase allow me to swap a 5kg for a 10 KG? Oonly one way to find out I guess.
We will be using the gas for cooking only as we will be hooked up all the thime as we travel.
Might a complete seperate bottle (GAZ), connected to a portable gas cooker be an easy answer! Bet I coukld buy one in a spanish/french diy store....le b & q?
It would be a lot cheaper to buy one in the UK before you go. Not much discounted camping gear in France/Spain. Plenty of caravanners do take a separate 2 burner stove & gas bottle & cook outside if its too hot to cook inside caravan so a good idea, but easier to buy it all before you go.
Thats what we are thinking. make sure out 5kg bottles are full and/or exchange one for a 10kg if homebase will let me. Have seen a cpl of double burning stoves on ebay for sale and theres a 907 bottle for sale cheap near me!
Must admit thats a new one on me, taking a separate 2 burner stove & bottle. Is that not why you take a gas barbecue.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Dont get me going on "barbecue".
Have a small charcoal briquette grill to take!
Just to make your day, you probably won't be able to use that in some of your warmer stops on your travels.

use a suitcase/fishing scale to weigh when full and take away the amount of gas in the bottle to get the bottle weight, write this on the bottle somewhere then when you go away you can work out how much is left just by weighing the bottle again :)
I used the bathroom scales to weigh a brand new tank, then deducted the rare weight to give an idea of how much the actual gas weighs.
