Arsenalds check out this hob on Amazon. A chap (D Night second comment down the page) confirms that the power is adjustable. Even though it's 2000w it should possible to run two of these side by side by lowering the power from 2kw to 1kw.

If you check out the photograph it also shows the digital display set at 1800w so it should be easy enough and clear enough to see what power setting you're at.

I've also contacted Andrew James to see if their model has adjustable and definitive power outputs. I'll keep you posted.

I've received confirmation that the Swan SIH101 induction hob can be adjusted to 1000w via the digital display. If you're just running the one you can then turn it up to 2000w, Ideal when you just want a cuppa. This is where my money will be spent.

Also received confirmation that the Andrew James model is not suitable (no exact measurement for power output).

Thats good to know about the power being adjustable wouldnt trust our lot to remember to turn them both down though so would inevitably end up tripping electrics at the most inconvenient times
