Here's our table top ... Also have the built in one in the FC ... the two make life a lot easier, especially in hot climes when cold liquid is so important!
The table top actually resides in the FC now on the unit which the fold-down cupboard used to sit on ... that has been removed, and provides a lot more storage space when in transit.

The C40 is not available via the UK website, so I guess that is why it disappears when you change to English.

So if you are after the C40 best stick with the Dutch version.

I have this morning received my C40 which I ordered 3 days ago via Obelink's German website (as it was cheaper, strangely, than their Dutch website). Shipping cost just 4.95 Euros. Packaging, as has been said, wasn't great, but sufficient in my case because my item is, as far as I can see, unscathed. £150 all in, I'm happy.

Francais - many thanks for the tips.

Hi all...ebay always seems to be worth a look(I see there's a small table top type fridge on for around 30 quid on at the moment).

Having recently sold our MH(which had fridge/freezer almost as big as the one in the 'ouse!), we've now switched back to a simpler, camping-van'n'tarp, style of "camping"....

Hopefully our old Igloo cool-box will still see us right..although I do quite like the idea of a "12v & gas" fridge/chest of sorts...

I wonder how feasible it would be "adapt" an old caravan fridge..?

(ie..Remove unrequired "circuitry", mount in transportable cabinet etc..?)

Although I dare say they are quite heavy..and probably a bit delicate/temperamental to be lugged in and out of a van and "awning"....

No problem TT the C40 is a superb piece of kit, for me the B40 would have been a compromise to far, and not worth paying the extra 30€ for.

We will be using our C40 for the first time in anger, down in Frejus this July, if that's not a true test I don't know what is!

Gumtree too, I picked up a mint table top for £20, we have yet use it for camping but tried it out at home, we even have ice compartment. If you can pick one up at this price and last a season it would be worth it.

We have an electric cooker, and whilst it's useful it just doesn't cut it for a fortnight in the summer. This year I will be looking to pick up a table top fridge to allow me to store cold meats for more than a day etc.

We went for coolbox so we didnt have to rely on EHU and space is an issue for our smaller car. I like the fact that food can be kept cool in transit as well as at sites.

The icey-tek has been perfect for us and performs really well - there are only three of us so we have the small cube version, but they come in larger sizes.

Few fridges to consider here which I have been toying with buying as I find the cool boxes are only good for short weekend breaks:

I would certainly agree that a three way fridge is a good idea as gives you more options where you can pitch if as you do not have to rely on pitching near the mains (also if one cooling system goes wrong you have a back up)

Ive been using the coleman extreme coolbox and it is great, but I have just bought a table top fridge aswell.
I cant fault the coleman its fab but The only problem you have with a coolbox is changing ice blocks and yes that's fine for a short trip but longer trips like a week or more it becomes a pain - for me anyway. Just because I'd like to be able to store more meat for bbq / breakfast etc rather than keep going out daily to buy it.
We do take a 2nd coolbox for the all important beer and wine, so if I take any fridge food it can go in there for the journey but we usually find a supermarket once we arrive at destination - to keep space free in the car
