We'll yesterday we made a 200mile round trip to the nec .. We brought many thing one of them was a Gilbert brook utility tent .. Got it home and put it up and went to open then door but couldn't because the zip was broken in 2 places
I have left a message at pj camping shop but I was 20min too late so will be giving them another call today to explain and hopefully will be sent a replacement
I've sorted zips that have gone like that. Carefully
paint a bit of silicone lubricant or furniture polish on
the teeth & a bit of gentle persuasion usually does the
trick. Might be worth a try first before sending it back,
if they start arguing about postage costs etc.
We'll I have spoken to the lady at the shop about this and I have asked for a replacement. In my opinion I have payed for a product what should be fully working and fit for purpose I would try and fit the zip but as it is under the 14 or 28 day return policy,I'll be sending it back because if I mange to fix it and then it brakes after the return policy ends I'll be stuck with it and then they could turn round and say It the way It was fixed ..
Must admit I would always go for a replacement if an item is still in its guarantee period. It's just the p+p issue, do they have to pay for that or you?

"Any return carriage charges will be at the customers cost in the first instance. On inspection, should a product be found to be faulty, then the return carriage costs will be reimbursed."
So not to bad... I'll be phoning them again tomorrow as the lady I spoken to twice said it been taken care of so I'll leave it for today ( only if I know what that ment
Well all good new so far I called them today to see how the replacement coming on I got told I can keep the one with a faulty zip and they will send out a new one next week :) happy days

Sorry for the strange question... but..
Is a utility tent a toilet tent by a posher name?
Just wondered what you had bought and what it is used for. Do I /we need one of these?
Will it called a Gelert brook utility tent but you can use it as a toilet tent or even a shower tent . We brought ours as a kitchen tent so we can cook in there . There are zipped vent on the side what we open when cooking and the door is open . When we brought it I asked the seller if it would be alright to cook in and he could find any reason not to . We only brought this as it bigger than the one we had so we can keep the fridge in there now :)
