Im so excited its ridiculous! I have just got my table top fridge for camping (friends had a new kitchen and got rid of her 'overspill' fridge) I cant wait to go and try it out! Ive wanted a table top for ages, we have got a coleman exteme coolbox and although its fantastic, it will be nice not to have to change ice blocks constantly and have wet food from melted ice lol!
Outstanding, and well done you, you can't beat a proper fridge, forget all your 3 way fridges and so called coolers, a compressor fridge wins hands down every time.
Have to agree that you cant beat a proper compressor fridge. However on a cautionary note not all are equal some of the cheaper ones are are only rated at a maximum of 30 degrees below OKish for UK but not so good in hotter Climes.

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Yep arsenaldes that is a good point you make, we have a Waeco CF25 for in car use and day trips, but for our main fortnight campings in the South of France during July we also now have a Mobicool C40 which will give the CF25 a well earned break from cooling duties.
Both are compressor fridges, designed for use in very hot climes, the Waeco came in at £150 new and the Mobicool was £139 new, so whilst £289 may seem a lot to spend spend on refrigeration, my take is that the cost has been spread over 6 years since we got back into to camping in 2009 following a good number of years hiring statics.
So the cost works out at £48 per year, and comes down each year until one of the blessed things packs in, but still cheaper than hiring a fridge from the campsite.
