Hello

My In laws have a RV and tour both the UK and Europe, I am looking for advice to pay for any systems be it 3G etc that can be used in the UK and Europe so they have internet connection.

If they are travelling through various countries in Europe then all they can really do is roam with UK phone or tablet & not use it too much, all UK mobile providers do data roaming bundles. Otherwise look for free wifi, MacDonalds & cafes will have it. If they are staying on campsites many also have wifi but usually you have to pay for it, daily or weekly but not that expensive.

Hi Andy, last time I checked the EE network only charged an extra£5 per month to add roaming.

Theres no point in using local sims if you are travelling through different countries. France for example charges for sim's & their rates are higher than UK anyway. Buying a local sim is only worth it if you are staying in that country for an extended period with a lot of mobile use.

Same as UK, other countries have a huge amount of mobile deals & unless you are conversant with language it difficult to select best one anyway.

Hi, I have been looking for decent package for France for this year as we will be there for nearly a month. We are currently with Three and they do an add on package "Euro Internet Package" at £5/day. Someone on this forum suggested this site but I am waiting to see a friend who used to live in France for more info.

Only downside of Three's package is that you cannot tether :(

Its a shame GiffGaff aren't in France!
