Help needed please. Have on order the Bailey Pursuit 430-4 we have been out looking at awnings for this today and liked KAMPA Rally Pro 330 as I think would be a lot easier for my husband to deal with than the heavy DOREMA we had for our old Bailey Ranger 380-2. Right, the problem is looking at pictures of the Pursuit the battery locker might interfere with the KAMPA figure of eight cushioned seal to the caravan. If anyone can understand what I am talking about and can give some advice it will be most welcome. Thanks in advance
We have a Rally Pro 260 and the back poles have padding on the awning that seals against the caravan so I'm not sure what you mean about the figure of 8 seal, perhaps the new awnings have changed. I had a look at the Bailey website and that locker is very close to the door and doesn't look as if there would be enough space to get the awning in without fouling the door. On the other hand, once the caravan is sited, you don't need to access the battery locker so the awning wouldn't be in the way. You just need to make sure you have enough straight awning rail to accommodate whichever awning you choose.
Assuming you mean a 430/4 then the awning will probably be too big. You'll need at least 390cm of straight, level awning rail to fit the awning and with the end curves of the caravan you'll probably only have about 350cm available. The only way to find out is to measure the awning rail along the straight section and make allowances for windows and lockers that may interfere with the awning fit.
