We have a Pyramid Awning and it uses awning sucker hooks to attach to the caravan, but we're struggling to find them and I can't seem to find them anywhere to buy - is there another way of supporting the poles? I can see there are lots of suckers that you put the poles straight into - can the hooks be taken off the poles and then used in this way?
Yes you could take the hooks off & use the suckers as you describe. The other way is to buy screw on eyes from any caravan shop but you would have to screw these into caravan. What caravan do you have though? The pyramid awning that you describe is usually fitted to Eriba that have eyes at each end of awning rail.
The Pyramid awning should have 3 plastic clamps that grip the awnings beading. These clamps have a small hole that will take the hooks. What looks like a sucker on the back of the clamps is not a sucker but is there to just spread the load.

------------- Some days you are the dog,
some days you are the tree.
The one in the video is just a normal awning, I thought you might mean a pyramid as in type fitted to Eriba? If its a normal awning the suckers pushed into ends of poles will work ok. The hooks are just pushed into pole ends, you can pull them out with pliers.
