Being a foreign holiday all exclusive family.finally taking the plunge.going to alton towers this week with the 2 kids and wife. 6 man tent fridge loads other stuff.

Site is 10 amp, got the cable with rcd. Taking a fan heater just in case says 2000kw, this with the fridge should be fine on 10amp? have changed fuse in heater to 5 amp just in case.

Site is a quarry have alloy and metal pegs not the skinny single wire ones thinking maybe I need ground pegs.

Tested the tent out in garden, leaked on one seam, used seam sealer last summer and let it dry out.will double guy just in case.

Got a carpet,2 air beds, table and chairs, table to put fridge on.will take home kettle but been told to take fridge out when using our will trip.

Hope the tent stays up, you guys given good advice,I think I was pegging guy lines at wrong angles so Bending and flexing tent to much.

Got spare guy lines, do I need to take any spare fibre glass poles,I checked them and one is cracked from where it goes into ferule.this should be okay?

All advice appreciated.

5amp fuse in your heater will blow on full power, might be ok on half power. If fridge is low amp draw then should be ok with fan heater. Don't use heater & elec. kettle at same time. If you do trip supply most(but not all)ehu points have trip you can reset yourself. If its hard ground then take rock pegs, box of 20 for around £11 & claw hammer to whack in & also pull out pegs if peg puller won't do it.

as has been said heater will draw nearly 9amps on full power and may even draw more than 5 on half once the fan is taken into account, especially on start up.
