We have just tried our new kampa rally 390 out. It stud up to 40 mile an hour winds with no problems.My qustion is. Has anyone tried to velcro the draft pads up the sides of the caravan to stop what slight drafts get in. Iam not sure if this would damage the awning pads. Cheers

I would agree you do need the rear pole set as well as the storm strap and monsoon poles and all of these should IMO be included, but certainly the monsoon and rear poles.

40mph winds will certainly create some draft in a porch awning I would suggest however

Another vote for back poles! They certainly make a difference! We never bothered with the monsoon poles with the 260 but they are a great addition. We have bought one for our new Kampa awning and we are considering buying another 2 for the outer roof panels. The Rally Ace 400, lovely bit of kit and fits the Adria DT a treat without having a full awning

Thanks for the replies. Ive got the poles for the pads and monsoons. Ive tied the bottom of the back poles to the caravan to give a bit more security.Plus storm straps . Ive also put a storm strap through the top of the awning poles. .Its a brilliant awning. I dont like draughts.

Not sure what else you can do with a porch awning sadly unless you add stuff to the side of your caravan like velcro or pop studs but this would damage your caravan in some form I would say.

If you really can't stand any draughts I would say a full awning that follows awning channel whole way would be only solution

Thanx for all the comments. I have a full awning I just want as much use out of the campa as possible. I have think I am like most on here. Always looking to better things.
