Sorry for late reply, but yes yesterday was most definately the grand opening, but the shop actually opened to the public on Tuesday 17th around 11.00 am to the public for the soft opening and as been open since.
I have been, it has a huge indoor tent field, and is very well layed out without feeling too cluttered. The staff are very friendly (but then I am bias as the wife looks after the warehouse), and are pretty knowledgeable on the products. The only downside is that I am partial to a bar or two of Kendal Mintcake, and they stock it, so there goes the diet!

Noticed on Thursday they had moved the "Opening Soon" billboard from the main entrance to the back (delivery) gates, and changed the sign to "Now Open". I just presumed they were a bit previous, and maybe forgotton to cover up the wording until Friday night/First thing Saturday! Wished I'd pulled in now!
Might have a stroll over tomorrow (from the office) and have a mooch. There must be something I need!

Same here I drove past on Friday and wondered why people were turning in - wish I had gone in now. Oh well I'm sure I will pop in this week and buy something I don't really need!
Called in this morning for a look. Didn't see anything I wanted and walked out without spening a penny! A few tents up inside and a few outside. Nothing any cheaper than any other camping shop where you wouldn't need to buy a card to get the "discount"
On my way I also called in to the Yeomans camping show at Duffield (near the fire station), didn't buy anything there either but a huge selection of tents on display.
