Just a quick question really - has anyone tried the new Campingaz stoves yet with the grill and if so is it as useless as the Campingaz Chef's grill for cooking with?

It's payday tomorrow and I can't decided between the 600ST or the 600SG and as I've been after adjustable legs on a stove for a while and now 2 come along I can't make my mind up .... typical!

Sorry can't answer your question, but I saw them last week & really like the look of them. I'd like one too but haven't found a review yet. I did look at the campingaz site & it's only just started to be sold. The best price I've found for the 600SG or ST is £99.99. Fingers crossed someone has some information soon.

We have the 400ST.
Pros: boils things fast., the size and position of the burners means you can cook for the family, will take two large saucepans, or frypans.
-ve, the low flame adjustment is not really low enough, so a simmer is either hanging off the burner, or turn on and off, or put up with it cooking harder than you wanted.
Have not tried the grill yet - sorry.
Would I recommend - yes

I'm really tempted by one too! Is the only difference between the 400 and 600 just the legs? Stace75 - where was it that you saw one for £99.99?

The only review I could find was for the 400 but I imagine its the same toaster (see link within link).

We bought a 400st, but returned it as one of the knobs didn't work and I was unimpressed with the general robustness, it seemed very flimsy to me. The burners seemed to be very good, but we didn't really test it properly.

We've just got back from our first trip with the 400st.
Boil time seemed quick, but I agree th low setting not quite low enough!
The grill seemed to do toast reasonably quickly, but as this is our first camping stove, nothing to compare it with! Can Only fit one slice of bread on the grill, and I dont think I'd fancy doing anything other than toast under it!
It is quite large, we had to remove the windshield off of our kitchen stand to fit it on, but otherwise very happy with it.

Saw these in go outdoors last week. Our current one has the griddle, but takes the whole top up, so,it's either griddle or boil The kettle. I noticed the new model has single griddles so you can do bacon, steaks etc and still have a ring to boil water etc. just the price tag holding me back.
