we've just bought the twin screen one by goodmans from empire stores (they have reduced it from £399 to £244 ) if you're a new customer u can get another £25 off and then u get 10% cash back !!!

by my reckoning that makes it £197.10...can't be bad cos i can't find them any cheaper on the net .

Centurian do "plug and play " kits that are quality screens and players (they supply the people that fit range rovers) and they allso do mobile tv tuners. the plug & play kits can be fitted in around 20 mins, the tv tuners are a bit more complex.

regards tim

I can't get my head round how, if a child is usually car sick, these screens don't make them sick sooner.   Just reading a map in a car makes me nausious (check spelling).   Eleanor (7) is the same, she reads for a couple of minutes and she goes a pale shade of green.

We play count the Eddie Stobarts, caravans, motorhomes, red cars, blue cars ..............

So, do any of you find that kids that usually get sick don't get sick with watching a DVD?

Yup, my 7 year old gets car sick if she's travelling for more than 40 mins. With the DVD player we did a 3 hour journey there and back with no sickness at all.

I think it works as she is distracted and she is looking forward.

it may have something to do with the fact that if you're reading you have your head down, if you watch a dvd you have your head held normal....i can't even look at a map for longer than 5 mins without getting sick/headache but i can watch a dvd

We have a Video player in our car, it keeps our two boy more than happy.  We decided on the video instead of Dvd, as the dvd are more sensitive (discs get scratched, jump etc).  We have also added a plug in games system (the ones which plug into the tv, and have about 100 games on them).  This does seem perhaps a little OTT but both boys are gadjit mad (they get it from their dad).  We have never enjoyed such a piecefull time.  Well worth any ones money.
