Hi
does anyone use an electric hob single or double for camping on sites with ehu, are they liable to trip the ehu? any advice welcome

We use a Tepanyaki grill like this

Its actually quite low power and draws just over 2kw when its on maximum.

It will cook brekkie, do toasted sarnies, cook steaks or anything else you'd do on a bbq and wipes clean very easily.

It gets hot enough to boil a pan of whatever or you can cook directly on it.

I'm a fan but it may not suit everyone. Have a think.

we have an electric double hob with one small 1kw and one larger 1.5kw hob. On 16A sites we can use both at the same time but on sites with lower can only use one at a time (not sure on using the 1.5kw hob on 6A sites either as tend to go for 10A and above), this isn't too big a problem as they retain heat so can simmer with no power for a while.

I have a small low wattage hob/grill from Quest which is ideal for when on EHU.

That looks like a nice thing to have and cheaper than many decent frying pans. I will certainly be considering one of those
