Its going to be carboot sales mainly, the bigger the sale the better, I've often seen old camping stuff. Do you go to France? Bric a brac sales there are often even better for old stuff. I'm guessing you are after old stuff to go with your camper?

Car boots are great for getting old gear, if you're located in Cambridge and don't mind a little drive there is Oakington Car boot on a Saturday morning. On Sunday I never found the football club car boot any good, used to be a park and ride car boot but not been there in a while as not as big as Fordham Car boot which is every other Sunday (not this weekend) then in the afternoon (again every other Sunday - not this weekend) if you drive a little further down the A11 there is 'bartboots' on a field just off the All before the 5 ways round about at Barton Mills.

I love vintage/retro camping gear and should really find a better source than eBay! Getting far too expensive!

We have 70,s chairs, table, tilley stove, kitchen stand and cups and plates. All in the garage. Don,t use them anymore but just can,t bear to get rid of them because of the memories of camping before we got married and had children.

I have some of my parents old camping stuff from the 70's. I'll never get rid of it (great memories) but I do still use it. I've got a Tilly stove, a hago kitchen stand in pale blue, and a 1973 lime green frame tent that still gets an outing from time to time (and is far better quality than many new tents!)
Actually to think of it I have three vintage tents, but the other two are a tiny 2 person Freeman tent, and a Lichfield Challenger 5 which still gets used and is in fact my profile pic!

There is this site Dubenhams that I just found when searching. Also saw an advert for Etsy the other day. Though it is a USA company and not all sellers ship to the UK.

Etsy has a huge UK seller network too. I sell my crafty things on it. Etsy is an Ebay for crafters and artists. It started stateside but it's just as popular here too. It's a bit oversaturated with sellers though.
There is a more UK based version called Folksy and it is popular, but doesn't have the same traffic generating power as Etsy.
