I am looking to buy my first family tent. I am over 6feet tall and am put off by camping because if its to wet to sit outside your tent i feel too cramped sitting inside the tent.
So, I need a large tent with enough chill out space inside the tent. I also need a bedroom compartment big enough for 2 adults and a baby (girlfriend doesn't want baby in own bedroom pod!)
Finally I don't want it to break the bank but in the same way I don't want a tent that breaks when putting it up or leaks when it rains (no rubbish basically).
With all that said does anybody have any advice or have a second hand tent that fits the above criteria?
Have look at the Outwell range, they are well made and reaonably priced for a quality product. Check out the Hartfod XL, although the pods may not be quite big enough...they have a huge range of tents.

We have a Jack Wolfskin Travel Lodge RT tent. We have had it for about 5 years now. Excellent, very roomy. I am 6 foot tall and I have plenty of head room. It has plenty of room in the main bedroom pod which is 5 berth, including leg room.
Hope this is of some assistance to you.
------------- Every one is entitled to their own opinion however wrong it is, except me.
Have a look at my cabanon athena package on well known auction site. Plenty of headroom, large bedroom that takes camp beds and spare room and gives various set up options.

I've just replied to another post re larger tent as we've just decided to sell our Wynnster Eagle 6, only used for 5 nights. We're in the North East if it helps.
