Hi there I am looking at getting one of the 2 stoves I have put in the title but there is a massive price difference. Has anyone used either stove or even better both and able to give me an honest opinion about them. Thanks in advance

we've got the safari chef, paid about £35 for it a few years back when it was on offer in Tesco. great bit of kit and all folds back into the bag. The only downside is it's quite low, don't know if it's safe to put on a table.
If space is limited I would say go for it, have cooked for 4 on it. we even used it with a frying pan to cook breakfast, and you have a couple of plates that interchange. Very happy with ours and would fully recommend.

We have both, recently purchased the safari chef to replace the carri chef 2 when away in our caravan. The carri chef is a great piece of kit but for the 2 of us a little bulky when touring. The safari chef is so much smaller but I must admit I miss the larger cooking plates with the carri chef.
In conclusion I would suggest that the safari chef is ideal for cooking for 2 people, but if you have the space to take away the carri chef, and you are cooking for more than 2 then the carri chef would be the best choice.

Best regards

I was looking at these but after visiting a camping shop and now very tempted by the outdoor chef city grill which is on offer in norwich camping for £99 so a great price, although the accessories are a bit pricey!. The safari chef was way too small for us(4of us) but the carri chef seemed to big.

Thanks guys. I actually picked up one of the old carri chefs at a bootsale for £20 but managed to leave the legs behind :/. I spoke to cadac and the said they no longer make the slide in legs from the original only the screw in legs from the 2. I don't suppose anyone has the legs from the original or is selling a carri chef 2? They just seem very expensive new near me. Close to £200 in go outdoors.
