Did you inflate the bed hard enough as this can lead to back ache if it's partly deflated. I did many years of camping sleeping on an air bed as I found this was the most comfortable out of all the beds I tried but one morning I woke up with back ache only to find that the sealing plug had come out slightly. Pushed in the plug fully, pumped it back up again and the next night slept like a log as normal.
Definitely get a bad back on these if under inflated or if it goes down abit over night. Some people use cheap self inflating mats on the top but most people like campbed and SIM combos

spent a night on our air bed at a friend's and now ache all over! Any advice from fellow achers? I'm hoping this won't be costly😃. Thank you!
I spent 2 months sleeping on the floor on my SIM after a back injury. So thats what I would recommend. The thicker the better imo. Mine is a 10cm one. For camping I now use it on top of a camp bed due to dodgy knees but, if I am honest , as far as the back goes the floor is best as there is no give.
