We are new to camping and I'm wondering what the best sleeping things are for children. Don't want them waking up cold and uncomfortable in the middle of the night. Happy children means happy parents. Any advice would be great :)

How old are they? I found when my daughter was 3 she kept falling off the air bed so I was awake all night putting her back on it. We then bought both kids camp beds which are a bit hammocky so they will not roll out - much better AND they don't deflate AND you can store holdalls etc underneath. I would say camped, sleeping bed then extra blankets :-) I would put them in onesies as if they need the loo in the night they would freeze having to take it all off

We have a nearly 3 year old little girl, been camping with her since she was about 9 months, we bought her one of these and put a silvered suvival mat under it to keep the cold out, along with a good sleeping bag and a quilt.
Also put gloves on her at night to keep hands warm.

We have 8, 6, & 2.5 year olds. They all sleep on roll mats with an adult sleeping bag on top (baby sleeping bag but now grown in in child sized one).

Just dress them in long PJ's as it can get cold. I also take vests and extra socks in the summer as if you are cold you can then layer up.

8 year old has my old sleeping bag (I was getting too cold) which is 23 years old!!!
6 year old has a gelert one reduced in Tesco. They would moan if they were too cold.

Both these are adult sized ones.

Hiya, has anyone been camping with a 5 month old baby and used a vango nightstar baby sleeping bag? We are about to go to cornwall next week and I can't find any info anywhere on what clothes to put him in inside the sleeping bag and for what temps? Its all very confusing as there is no tog rating to the bag.

I find kids rarely wake up if you use one of these...and if they do...use it again.
