These look brilliant for the price.
Anyone have one? Are they watertight? Planning on putting bedding etc up there in non-waterproof bags and want to make sure it'll all stay nice and dry!
For the same money you could have a 680 litre farad box here We have it. It's dual opening (both sides), really solid and holds up to 90kg. We ordered ours on the Monday and it arrived on the Friday. Excellent service.

Not sure about the Husky, but big thumbs up to the brand. We have the Kamei Corvara 390 duo lift box and that is superb, much better than the Thule and Halfords ones we looked. 6 year warranty too!

Looking at the Farad now, but worried it might be too big! What car do you have it on if you don't mind me asking? Can you put it on a car alone or is it a two person job?
I went for the Kamei Delphin 380 at £232 superb box when closed very secure, no need to add extra straps, it is a wider box than the Husky although not as long but suits my VW Golf fine.
Have got 50kg of kit in it, so the Husky for me would be weight overload.

We have it on our vw touran so a fairly big family car. It doesn't look out of place. My husband can lift it on and off himself (it doesn't weigh a huge amount) I couldn't, but not due to the weight, just because I'm 5 foot and it would be too awkward.

Thank you! Just two more questions (sorry!) - are the fittings quick fit ones to put it on/take off car quickly? And is the central locking system efficient - can you close and lock it on your own or do you need two people? I can't find much info about it at all...
The fittings are snap shut style (no idea of the technical name) but you thread a u bolt in from underneath then there is a device that fits over the ends and locks in place...you don't manually screw anything onto them. The locking system seems efficient and easy. I have the box sitting on my patio if you want any pics. I also rang them for advice before ordering and they were very helpful. The contact info is on the companies actual website here although ordering via Amazon is cheaper. The boxes are imported from Italy but the service was quick and easy.

Thank you - you've been so helpful
Just one very last thing (I promise!). Is the space inside very useable - some roof boxes I've seen are so shallow - with bottoms with loads of ridges and funny shaped tops - so that you really can't get a lot of anything in them! Just making sure it is as cavernous as they claim!
