Hi all,
We are off this w/end for our 1st time with our 3 1/2 yr son.
I have an old (approx 17yrs) Vango TBS Equinox 250,which is currently set up in the garden & still looks good for its age,not ideal but cant afford anything bigger at the moment.
The main question is regarding sleeping,we all have sleeping bags, and just pumped up the old Blue/Red air bed, that promptly went down again after about 10 mins.
I have seen SIMs & they look good, can these be used on the tent floor with out camp beds,as we wouldn't have the room for 3 of them.

sorry for waffling on

Ian

Certainly!   Using them on top of camp beds or even "fishing" beds seems quite popular with those who have the space, but they're not essential.

My preference is to use them on top of (reflective surfaced) foam mats, but you could use corrugated cardboard, for instance (check for staples ) or just use them direct on the floor.

If the tent's still pitched would a practice garden camp be possible?   This would give you the chance to add duvets etc if you find you need them for extra insulation.

Hi,thanks for your advise.
I will look for a mat/carpet to put down first.
We packed the tent away as I didn't want to tempt fate & it get rained on overnight, leaving it wet when packed away.
