Hi Everyone

I am hoping that you experts on here can maybe make it clear which are the best type of air beds. I have bought a rubberised box sided double air bed with a built in pillow ( the red and blue type ones). I keep seeing and hearing that Vinyl type air beds are best. Please can you give me your expert advise. And yes I do know that the double high Queen type beds are great but I cant afford one of them as yet.

Regards

 Steve.

Hi we have just got a bargain from sue and roger at newport(members from this site) which is the restform bed but prior to that we looked at the coleman double airbed at go outdoor store in coventry and it did look good the price if i remember right was £36 certainly worth a look.

We've had one of those airbeds for years & (touch wood) had no problems with it.  Like the built in pillow, without that we'd have to take 2 pillows each instead of 1.  When it bursts I will probably buy the same again.

According to the consumers association Which? magazine, who have just tested camping equipment, the best inflatable airbed with a score of 79% is the Campingaz Quickbed double closely followed by the Coleman Comfort bed double with 77%.

They recommend both beds but the Campingaz edges it on price (£20) and the fact that its easier to put back in its bag.

Just a point, I bought two of these last year, both leaked after a couple of times used and I took them back.

I may have just been unlucky!!

Thanks Cas - you cheeky bugger you  !  That was our third that has gone bang - although in fairness none were the campingaz or gelert ones!  Please see my thread on camp beds!  We are now giving up with airbeds - maybe!  Gotta say though the bang adds to the fun!

Hi Everyone

Many Thanks for your replies, and it seems like I have bought a decent bed, if things work out with camping ( my other half just dont like the idea at all ) I hope to change it for a double height one next year, I have heard they are great but a little on the expensive side for me just at present.

Once Again Many Thanks.

Regards

 Steve.
