I would take an electric light. Doesn't have to anything flash. I made one with standard lamp holder, energy saving bulb, flex and desk lamp switch. I used to hang it from the roof poles. Could see our tent from anywhere on the site at night.

We used to love out tent carpet too. Really made the whole thing cosy when the heater was on.

Personally, I'd ditch the air bed for a decent SIM, preferably atop a camp bed... luggage space providing, of course. That is, however, very much a case of personal preference.

Quite a few swear by various coffee making contraptions. Must admit, I do like my coffee, but clearly not enough to add more gear to my camping kit, as I stick with my Carte Noir Expresso instant!

Those foam rubber interlocking mats are great by the door, or in a porch/canopy, and definitely go for a carpet in the tent... ideally in both the bedroom(s) and living area.

You may need to consider two tables? One for the kitchen/storage/prep area, and another for actually sitting at to eat etc?

Number one priority though, if you want glamour and sophistication, is to get a loo bucket, for those, erm, well... number one's!!

Electric kettle to save on gas, food cupboard with solid top (extra food prep counter), deffo on the carpet, bottle opener!, real pillows (I use a airtight storage bag to reduce the size), small solar panel lights for when the electrics fail!

Got a lovely double air-bed - but kills us after a few nights, bad hips in particular (and we're not that old!) Definately thinking about changing to camp beds with SIM for next year, if I can find space for them.

cheapo solar lights to put around the front of the tent and mabe some solar fairy lights to put up in the entrance of the tent with a few clothes pegs to attach them, a laptop to transer all your photos onto to save filling up your phone or digital camera as you will deffinatly want to remember your first trip away, install dropbox on your phone or face book on your phone to make that easier,
andrew james xl hotplate
andrew james halogen oven
bbq
and a nice air freshener for inside the tent, a vanilla car tree will do only £1 each or a nutrodol

All above Plus -
Inflatable sofa and chairs
Camping kitchen
Flag pole and unusual windsock (we have pink pig) so your friends can find you
Hammocks
Quilts (preferably homemade)
Cobb

However, as we have discovered if you make the tent too cosy getting the kids off the pitch or even out of the tent becomes a challenge .....
