Put down poison - you buy a small dispenser and fill it with blue rat & mouse killer pellets; go to any decent hardware shop, or an agricultural supply shop. (Our Tesco sells the pellets, but not the gadget.) If you don't have a pet, just put the pellets out on a dish inside the van. The mice will go away to find water and won't die in your caravan.
