I have a conway folding camper which I have treated with waterproof spray twice. However it is still leaking in a couple of places( I noticed these areas have water marks where it has leaked before) does anyone know of any other treatment I could use?

Hi when we had trailer tent some years ago we had same problem treated it with all the usual sprays ect nothing seemed to work so in the end we bought a nice thick good tarp and put that over when setting up lasted us the duration of the time we had the trailer tent in fact still got it folded up somewhere now. Cost a bit more than the cheapo tarps but well worth the extra money good luck.

Is it leaking from stitching/seams?...if so, aren't you supposed to use a specific(thicker?) product for those areas?

(..I always thought that the sprays and fluids, were only really any good on the actual fabric...)

Are you sure it's not been cleaned with a soap product? Try a heavy (and I do mean heavy) rinse with a hosepipe then reproof when it's dried out.

Thanks for replies, leak is not coming from seams, there is no hole as such, it's just that as the canvas gets wetter and wetter it accumulates and then drips. I noticed this morning the patch (which is roughly 50cm x 50cm) is directly above the stove, so wonder if that is anything to do with it?
Will try the hosepipe when I get back, have tarpaulin while we are away at mo but find it tricky putting up on my own!!
Thanks again
