Is it possible to run a portable gas BBQ off our caravan gas bottle, rather than the small canisters that we buy, which don't last more than 2 meals.

Thank you, we don't have a external BBQ outlet, so will have to modify the the connector on the BBQ. Just worried about the pressure difference.

What kind of gas BBQ do you have?

I'm no expert, but I think it would be unwise to attempt to modify a BBQ that uses disposable canisters to run off an external gas bottle. I'm not sure it would even be possible. Much better to buy a BBQ designed to run off a gas bottle using a suitable regulator.

Or perhaps I have misinterpreted your last post!

I'm not pretending to be an expert but before anyone says "yes", as you say it currently runs on "canisters", I think you need to be establishing  what pressure your "BBQ" works at ?...

...Because with some(Cadacs etc?) they are available with different operating pressures (..and I thought that those working from "canisters" were "High pressure" and therefore it wouldn't be possible?...).

So I think you need to be naming the make and model of you "BBQ", to have the best chance of accurate feedback..
