Hi everyone,

We are newbies to camping...we survived the tail end of the hurricane last weekend so i'd say that was a successful trip!

I'm struggling to find an easy way to store clothes whilst camping, we used a big holdall last time but the kids rummaged through and everything ended up on the floor.

Has anyone used the Kampa Handy Harry? It looks good as you can pack at home then transfer straight to the tent. I just wonder whether it will be big enough?

I'm a bit of a neat freak so like everything to have its place...can anyone recommend a good clothes storage solution that doesn't really require any assembly?

Hi ... and welcome to the forum!
We've used stuff from the Royal range of camping furniture ... some good storage units ... and also the three draw plastic 'chest of drawers' from B&Q .... one each, store with clothes directly from car to awning/tent and back again ... so no packing/unpacking required.
Others will have suggestions ...

We have the same problem. Our girls always want what's at the bottom of the holdall. We have just bought one of these from homebase, from £30 down to £15. May get another. Pretty good size to hold a fair amount and minimal effort to put together.

Nice idea but at £50 I think I'd go for some packing cubes

We use one of these for the 3 of us.

We just transfer all the clothes from the holdall already on hangers straight to the rail and any odds and sods go into popup baskets located underneath.

Briffster that is exactly what we used for our 3 children on our recent trip to france. The top drawer was filled with pants and socks for the 5 of us then the kids had a drawer each. All their clothes apart from hoodies fit in them. Our children are 13, 11 and 3. I packed it up at home, transferred to the car and then in to the awning when we got set up........ worked great and would also work when tenting!

I did look at a clothes rail but ideally I was after something I could pack at home and move straight from car to tent.

After thinking about the plastic drawers we were a little worried they wouldn't fit into the truck very well.

So, after a little more internet searching I've ordered 4 of these. We can have one each, pack them at home, clothes will be nice and organised and they can easily be stored in the tents larger bedroom pod...plus they were only £6.99 each, bargain!
