Hi all, pretty sure this my first post on this forum, so once again, hi there!! We're long-time campers & have just upgraded from an Outwell Hartford (10-12 years old!!) to a Wolf Lake 7 & need to get a trailer to cope with both the tent & also now our two boys & their gear. Got a pretty good handle on the trailer (most likely Branderup following recommendations on other posts), but the question I have is, is there a limit on the number of bikes you can put on the top of a trailer? Models I'm looking at are either the 1105 or 1205. Someone has told me you shouldn't put more than two on a 1105 (top heavy etc). As we all are keen mountain bikers, it's all 4 bikes or none at all!! We have a roof box on top of our Mazda 6 estate so that is not an option. Any tips/guidance/advice gratefully appreciated from a novice trailer-ite.
Thanks guys. If its any help, two of the bikes are alloy (Marin etc) & the two kids bikes are steel frame, albeit smaller sizes. I'm also trying to avoid putting anything else on the tow-bar other than the trailer for handling etc. Others have recommended Lichfield trailers so will try them.

I had a wooden trailer and made a wooden lid, you could do this for your metal trailer. I then strengthen the lid with wood going across underneath and attached my bike racks to this. The pics are on my profile. I have now bought a metal trailer and cut down an A frame abs attached them to that, will post pics later.
