We are considering taking our dog with us camping next year for the first time; we have always put our dog in kennels. He's an English Bull Terrier and therefore very strong and due to their mischievous disposition would be in everybody's tent searching for food if given half the chance!

Has anybody got experience of using the Delta Dog Tie (we are Delta Ground Anchor fans) and can recommend it's strength in terms of not being pulled from the ground?

We have 2 delta tethers and one can successfully hold 2 Labs! You are very welcome to borrow one , if I am right in thinking you are B and D's parents and live in St Peter's!   I would suggest you use a line that has a chock absorber on the end in case your dog lunges!

I have a delta tether for my boisterous 2 year old lab. She had successfully snapped, bent 3 of the cork screw types and I purchased the Delta tether as a last resort. I wasn't particularly confident that it would work, but have been pleasantly surprised. Once its pegged into the ground it does not budge. I would definitely recommend. Also because It lies flat to the ground the lead doesn't get wound round it.

We have a chain and just use an heavy duty awning peg to fasten it down. It holds our two dogs fine

we have a delta anchor and they are great for holding the dog and don't tangle. but my one criticism is that they are made to too finer tolerances. the offset on the rotating arm is so small that unless the pegs are bashed right in then the arm might not clear them , the clip also can snag the ground if it is uneven.
Just one other thing the snaplock clip that comes with it can open itself occasionally if the clip on the dogs lead turns over on it (hard to explain but does happen ).
That said it is a quality bit of kit and the stainless pegs that come with it a re some of the most solid pegs I have ever used

We bought our second tether last year and it is slightly different in design to the older one. It seems to have a slightly more raised rotating arm and does not have the three triangular cut outs on the plate. We used them both this year and had no problems with either.

I too have a Delta Dog Tether and it is a great piece of kit.

While you are browsing their site, consider getting their extra long peg puller too, as it makes the chore more pleasurable.
