Hi everyone,
I recently bought somebody's full kit which included a tent and lots of extras. Included was a queen size intex air bed but one of the chambers on the side has popped, maybe due to over inflation? The air bed would be lovely to sleep on but as it is the person on the side with the bulge finds it difficult to move and the only option is to sleep in the middle of the bed.
Has anyone ever had this happen and can it be repaired?
Thank you
Angie

I think I'd contact Intex or look on their website for advice. Good luck.

Thank you will have a look now and see if I can find some contact details, seems a shame not to be able to use it as it was so much easier for getting in and out of than mine.

I think it may be a goner Angie! Had this happen to ours last year - although, before the camp bed and sim trolls appear, it had been used for four years in an annexe on a seasonal pitch! I topped it up early one morning when it was cool and must have over inflated it. During a very hot day it "popped" on one side. I have replaced it with a new one from Lidl for £39.99. At £10 a year I am not complaining as it is great for a couple of pensioners with creaking backs!

When people ask for advice on sleeping arrangements those of us who have had bad experiences with airbeds (and there are lots of us) will say so and offer our solution. That doesn't make us campbed and sim trolls...it makes us people who have spent a fortune on airbeds, have now found a better option, and would like to offer others, when asked, the benefit of our experiences. That is what UKCS is all about.

I personally cant offer help on fixing it but also want to say what people sleep on is a personal preference. I hate camp beds. Far too narrow! Im not a big person but i like to sleep on my front with one leg up a cap bed is not wide enough for this and moving around.

Thank you for taking the time to reply! I must admit I am the world's biggest air bed fan, spending many nights on an ancient blue and red rubber air bed that my other half had dug out from camping as a child so he reckons its about 40 years old. Unfortunately it is due to go to camping heaven as it has developed leaks and no longer lasts the night. We have tried to fix the leaks but I think it is beyond repair.
I bought the bed as part of a full camping set up and can imagine its been really useful, as for older joints like mine it would be so much easier to get up on a morning being as high as a full size bed but where we usually have a really good nights sleep the one night we used it was just a nightmare.
I have replaced the bed with a double height air bed thinking i was buying a bed the same but think we are going to have to invest in one of these queen size high risers, personally thinking we will be sticking to air beds for the foreseeable future as we have never had any bother with our own and they are just the thing for cuddling up in, well you just don't get that with camp beds lol

thank you
Angie

Was wondering if you could turn it upside down?

Or again turn it upside down but put cheap air bed on top ?

Good luck
