Page 32 of the Karsten Klub thread has my Ikea 'Chinese' solar lanterns hanging from our tent. Hardly the Blackpool illuminations, but they do the job. They also come in different colours, a single, larger version and are cheap. I think Ikea also does a plastic flower version.

I'm thinking along the lines of ice white led rope light like the Christmas stuff, but where would I get the clips to clip it to the awning poles

I got mine from Amazon something like these and just loop them through the curtain points etc, or use velcro or some thing , it all depends whats in your tent to make it work!

Another way is to buy a rope light in a color of your choice
