We use a Thetford Qube 165 chemical toilet inside our tent regularly. (3 children under 7 = several trips to and from a toilet block without it!). We use it with Blue diamond Blue chem in the bottom and pink in the top.
What does everybody use for toilet paper in these type of things? I am sick of being ridiculously overcharged for the 'proper' Thetford or Blue Diamond toilet rolls which quite frankly aren't particularly soft or friendly to your built in cushion now, are they? But of course they are recommended for their 'ability to break down easily'.
Does everybody just pay the price for these or do they use normal household or what?
Sorry for talking crap guys

I do normally use the blue diamond when I have purchased them, but we find any shops own value brand is very thin and falls apart quickly lol.
But we do have a pee only and use one sheet rule lol
Besides our loo we have a bin liner, regular loo roll, baby wipes, supermarket own nappy sacks and hand sanitiser. The used loo roll or baby wipe goes into the nappy sack and then into the bin liner. No smells, little expense and job done.
The specific Porta-Potti rolls are quite compact, so they are easy to pack and store.
Having said that, there are plenty of much cheaper equivalent size bog rolls to be found in the supermarkets, we stock up with the "Carrefour Eco Planet Compact" bog rolls when in France.
They come in packs of 4 etc, and are a decent 2 ply roll and a pack of 4 costs 2.64€ (£2) so cheaper than Thetford Aqua a Soft rolls, and work fine for both campsite loos and the Porta-Potti, although we also have the number one only rule for our Porta-Potti!
We just use Aldi ones. A work colleague I knew once used to unwrap 2 ply toilet roll to eek it out to 2 rolls for the price of one. This did not endear him to his wife and 2 daughters
Blimey, she sounds like a right tight arse !
However, could not agree more, take what you have at home.As my granchildren remind me often when it comes to flushing through the thetford "grandad, that is your department !) don't you just love them !!
regards
Keith
Well it seems general consensus is to not waste money on specific porta potti rolls. I shall try using a cheap supermarket brand next time. Maybe I can convince the missus to let me buy it for home too!
