Thinking about purchasing the Outdoor Revolution Oxygen Airframe Speed II.
Do you have one or know anybody that has one if so could you please post me your opinion of this awning, at the same time if you an alternative Air Frame Awning that you think I should consider please post your thoughts.
We have the Revolution oxygen air the smallest one as we only have a small 2berth caravan we purchased it from the NEC show in February and we have used it all this summer and find it so easy to inflate and deflate and so easy to erect we are going away again this Friday for 8 nights and will be using it again we are very satisfied with it.

I have to say the fabric on the Outdoor rev awnings has lasted longer (infact its as good as we pitched it 4 months ago) than any other awning or tent polyester fabric we have had on display. They are super quick to pitch having one big oversized air tube and the metal poles take seconds to slide in. Overall I think they are right up there with the Kampas re quality. The Vango Sanna or Varkala are also right up there re quality but you have to inflate each tube individually but to be fair its no big deal and they do come with many features and all the bits and bobs you might want such as rear upright poles that keep the rear edge of the awning against the van.

Up until last week, I would have been a strong supporter of them.
But, despite tie wrapping the zips together, as recommended by the manufacturer and dealer, it failed big style and the tube ruptured with a sound like a shot! The weather was still and fine at the time and we were on a small site with 2 other caravanners, both of whom we've know for years.
We purchased it either late feb/early March and it's been used with care and due diligence to instructions.
It's been returned to the dealer, who is returning it to the manufacturer for inspection.
We may just have been unlucky, but it has put me off them now, as there is no way it could even be mended.
we have the speed 2, and i have been mostly impressed.
i say mostly as the only issue we have had was with a strong wind(gusting 32mph!) the pole adjuster on the roof pole section isn't up to the job. I don't understand why it needs adjusting here as it is always in the same place when we need it.
I have actually just wrapped a load of electricians tape around the thinner pole to stop it going too short and it has not been an issue since.
i would recommend it overall with this minor self modification. The wife likes the size as its enough to get the drying rack in and still have space to use. plus those easy curtains are good. We have had all the doors open on many occasion, and even closed up with the curtains open it feels bright and airy and awning like, rather than a storage space!
we have put ours up about 15+ times so far. infact its in the hall drying at the moment from our last trip.
The only thing i still remain unsure of is what pressure should it be pumped up to? It seems odd that they supply it with a pressure gauge, but the instructions/website etc fail to tell you how far to go!
Re the pressure... It was all a bit confusing early in the season... I have had one on display all summer and have found 4 psi has been as much as it's needed to stand firm. We have hardly ever had to adjust / top up the air etc. The fabric is still as good as when we pitched it due to uv protection in the fabric. All in all its been great. (do add some cable ties to the zips on the air tubes, it's pretty much standard procedure now on most brands)
